Mid Year Championships

Six team members traveled to the Mid Year Championships (called Hell Froze Over) January 14-18 at the University of Texas, Austin. There were 40 schools in attendance, and the competition was definitely fierce! We are happy to report winning four awards including Sophomore Terra Strong's Fourth Place in Poetry Interpretation during the second half of the tournament. Terra also advanced to semi-final rounds in Program of Oral Interpretation on day two of the tournament and Poetry Interpretation on day one. Junior Maximilian Cole advanced to the semi-final round of Poetry Interpretation on the first day of competition.

Ohio Holiday Frolic

The TSU Forensics Team finished fall semester at the Ohio State University Holiday Frolic held December 4-5, 2009. There were 30 schools in attendance, and TSU took 3rd place overall and won a total of 19 awards including First Place, Poetry Interpretation - Terra Strong, First Place, Novice Dramatic Interpretation - Byron Harvey, First Place, Novice Poetry Interpretation - Wil Taylor, and First Place - Novice Program of Oral Interpretation - Kelli Volk.
